Mt Rainier is a common sight anywhere in the Seattle area, but it is another thing to see it up close. One of the best places to view the majestic peak is from the Sunrise visitor center. The drive up to the visitor center has glimpses of the snow covered peak as it rises through the forests and up above the treeline. At 6,400ft in elevation Sunrise puts you right amongst the peaks of the mountains surrounding rainier and is great for hikes that don’t require lots of elevation gain to get to wonderful vistas.

The book that I am writing in the world of Retallion follows the story of four main characters; Verdell Townsend, Ashlynn Miller, Kitha Ambervale, and Robin. They all come from very different backgrounds but the whims of fate will bring them all together. Some have secrets, others hold nothing back. Will they be able to work past their differences to save a lot of lives or will they fail?

For my first wedding anniversary my wife and I took a trip to the Olympic Peninsula. We visited lots of beautiful places like Sequim, Hurricane Ridge, and Ruby Beach. The weather was great for most of the trip and when It wasn’t the best for walking it was great for photography. As a special bonus we got to see some Orca whales from the ferry on the ride over.

As a part of the Retallion Redux effort and following the snowflake model I outlined previously I created a template character sheet that I would fill out for my main characters and the antagonist. (They will remain secret for now) This character sheet includes everything from physical appearance, psychology, relationships, and character arcs.

In the summer of 2021 I went on an awesome vacation to Central Oregon, the photography was wonderful.
